TIM innovates in top-ups with unprecedented integration with Google Pay and Apple Pay in partnership with Bemobi

The new feature allows top-ups with credit card, debit card, and Pix within the MEU TIM app, without redirection and with biometric authentication.

TIM, in partnership with Bemobi, announces an innovation in the mobile top-up experience for its prepaid customers. Starting now, Google Pay and Apple Pay integration is available directly in the MEU TIM application. The new feature ensures a faster, more secure top-up process with no redirections.

The partnership focuses on adopting technologies that simplify digital payments. Top-ups via credit or debit card are even simpler, with the integration of digital wallets eliminating the need for manual data entry. For Pix top-ups, customers with Android devices can now complete top-ups directly in MEU TIM, without the need to switch between different apps, using the newly launched Google Pay with Pix. The functionality reinforces the app as the operator's main channel for this type of transaction.

"We always focus on the most innovative solutions to bring convenience to the customer. These integrations enhance the digital journey and can encourage recurring top-ups, which is one of the company's strategic objectives. Now, a top-up can be done in a few taps, with biometric authentication and total security,"

says Paulo Esperandio, TIM's CMO.

Among the main benefits of this new feature, the following stand out:

  • Continuous Experience: There are no redirections – the customer does not need to switch between applications or manually enter data, completing the top-up in a few taps.
  • Speed and Security: Payment via Google Pay and Apple Pay allows the use of cards already registered, with biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial) ensuring a protected transaction.

Bemobi is a leader in the specialized payment solutions sector, where it already serves 10 of the 15 largest recurring service companies in the country. For João Stricker, CRO of the company, this type of partnership contributes to accelerating the digital transformation of the telecommunications sector, which is in constant evolution. "TIM is leading the way by bringing an innovative top-up solution with the main 'wallets' in the market. We are proud to contribute with our payment technology to enable this functionality. The partnership shows how collaboration can simplify the customer's daily life and make the top-up process faster and more secure," highlights the executive.
