March 2025 – Unimed do Brasil, the confederation that institutionally represents the 339 medical cooperatives and companies within the Unimed System, has partnered with Bemobi (BMOB3), a leader in the recurring payment solutions sector in Brazil, serving 9 of the 15 largest recurring service providers. This collaboration aims to modernize the payment journey for Unimed customers by offering multiple payment methods and conditions, ensuring an integrated and efficient omnichannel experience in line with healthcare market trends.
Unimeds Campo Grande and Tatuí began implementing Bemobi’s solutions in the second half of 2024, adopting customized collection channels, fraud prevention systems, and reconciliation tools. Meanwhile, the Northeast Paulista and Rio de Janeiro Federations, along with Unimeds Cabo Frio, Vale do São Francisco, Caruaru, Governador Valadares, and Curitiba, are in the development phase. Together, these initiatives are already impacting 1.5 million lives. With the expansion of the partnership to additional Unimed units, the initiative is expected to reach approximately 19.9 million people.
The Bemobi Pay solution is white-label and seamlessly integrates recurring payments via credit card. Additionally, it offers upfront and installment credit options, as well as Pix payments, and employs an intelligent fallback system—an automated, integrated alternative that ensures continuity in case of payment failures, such as expired credit cards.
Key benefits include enhanced operational efficiency, improved user experience, and increased security and compliance. The solution also optimizes payment conversion rates and simplifies the collection process at competitive costs. For Unimed customers and beneficiaries, it provides greater convenience, transparency, and a variety of payment options, allowing users to choose the method that best suits their needs.
We are pleased with our partnership with Bemobi. Their innovative solution enhances the efficiency of recurring payments, benefiting individual Unimed units and improving the experience for our beneficiaries.
Mauricio Cerri, Superintendent of Technology and Innovation at Unimed do Brasil
Unimed customers can pay their monthly fees through various channels, including websites, apps, WhatsApp, and bank slips, using credit cards, debit cards, or Pix. The pre-integrated white-label solution introduces innovations such as automated invoice registration and reconciliation, hybrid invoices combining traditional bank slips with Pix QR codes, and installment payment options of up to 12 months. The platform also incorporates advanced fraud prevention tools, tokenization, customer-segmented billing, and a 10-15 percentage point increase in efficiency compared to traditional models.
I often say that payment is the least enjoyable part of any service, and healthcare is no exception. Our goal is to reduce this friction by offering beneficiaries greater ease and more payment options. We want them to choose the most convenient method, making the process as seamless and recurring as it is with streaming services. By simplifying this step, we contribute to a more positive and efficient experience.

Through this initiative, we are accelerating the digitalization of yet another critical economic sector while significantly expanding our addressable market in healthcare payments, which processes over BRL 300 billion annually.
